The XD4000-16P5-4C2221 supports open-loop V/F control (5-point), slip compensation and Sensorless Vector Control (SVC), plus closed-loop vector control with encoder feedback for asynchronous motors, and native control laws for permanent magnet (PM) and reluctance motors. It delivers 150% overload (Heavy Duty) / 120% overload (Normal Duty) of rated current for 1 minute, an output frequency range of 0.1–599 Hz, and efficiency up to 98.6% at full load — giving reliable torque and speed control across induction, PM and reluctance motor types.

For crane, hoist and material-handling duty, the XD4000-16P5-4C2221 provides dedicated brake control with brake feedback and separate brake-release current settings for hoisting and lowering, high-speed hoisting (adapting motor speed to load so an empty hook can travel faster), rope slack detection, external load measurement via a weight sensor, dynamic load / load-variation detection, open- and closed-loop torque control for winder applications, and positioning by limit switches or sensors — with a built-in braking transistor standard up to 160kW HD.

Using the onboard Ethernet port, one master XD4000-16P5-4C2221 drive can coordinate up to 10 slave drives via MultiDriveLink for speed synchronisation or torque/load sharing in common-shaft applications such as dual-motor kilns, tandem or grab cranes, long belt conveyors and parallel-chain textile stenters, wired in daisy-chain, star or redundant-ring (RSTP) topology over standard Ethernet cabling.
